Getting Started!

Consultation

Our Director will consult with you on all aspects of adoption including international versus domestic adoption, various types of adoption situations in domestic adoptions such as open versus closed, what to expect from the process, and our agency’s policies and procedures, our Director will explore with you your personal hopes and aspirations for building a family through adoption and will provide honest and forthright insight into the process and the challenges you will face. Application

Once you complete our application, we will provide our Initial Intake Package which includes a questionnaire that will help us to obtain a clear picture of the type of adoption situation that meets your needs to include race characteristics of the birth parents, the level of communication you seek with the birth parent(s) prior to and after the adoption, background characteristics of the birth mother and various other relevant issues.

Home Study

Your home study is the screening and educational process that prepares and qualifies you the adoption process. We provide home study services for families located in Florida and Alabama and can recommend professionals for families residing in other states.

Pre-Adoption Plan

Our Director will review the information you provide in the Initial Intake Package and your home study and develop a personalized Pre-Adoption Plan that best suits your needs. This plan will provide recommendations on the type of advertising, networking and overall approach to your adoption.

Your Introductory Profile

The purpose of an adoptive family profile is to present who you are to potential birth mothers. We provide families with our Guide, How to Develop a Successful Profile. Our written and audio guidance along with our one on one expert coaching will make this process enjoyable and easy. Our approach is for you to make a positive and beautiful profile that truly expresses who you are to prospective birth parents.
